About Us

PEI Escape Rooms launched in September 2014 as the first escape room game to open in PEI. We are also (to our knowledge!) the world’s only year-round non-profit escape room, with all profits going to the Voluntary Resource Council, making us one of the most unique escape room games. All funds raised by the PEI Escape Rooms go to provide core funding for the ongoing work of the VRC in Charlottetown, PEI.

In order to maintain a quality of player experience, the Game Facilitators are paid staff who come in specifically for your booking. Consistent with our values of social justice, we pay fair wages to our staff, and offer this paid work to underemployed individuals who have shown a spirit of volunteerism and community engagement.

Our rooms are designed and created using previously owned, re-purposed, and donated items as much as possible.
